The day has come for humans to walk the tallest waterfall(Jelawang) in South East Asia again…. :P

This is my 3rd time there ... but this time is just purely Baha's camp, no Gunung Stong, no Gunung Ayam. .... 

My reason to go there: Bring my friends there

Y waterfall is where Gunung Stong and Gunung Ayam meets. About 30 min walk from Baha’s camp.

Challenges of this trip 
- This place has been declared "Gunung Stong State Park", that means entries are controlled. You will be forced to take a guide, it will cost RM90/day if I'm not wrong. Well I argued that we have been there several times, and is a very short trail like and evening hike up to Bukit Mertajam, so we escaped the extortion this time.

Reason of my visit: Since I've done Gunung Ayam, I might as well do Gunung Stong too. They are like twins.

A trip Gunung Stong  .... 2nd time to BAHA camp..... ... BAHA camp is a camping group 450m ASL and the foot the Jelawang waterfall, said to be the tallest in south east asia, but I don't know how true is that... like Mount Kinabalu is said to be the tallest in SEA, but it is actually the 5th tallest after 1. Hkakabo Razi 5881m, Burma, 2. Puncak Jaya 5030m, Indonesia, 3. Trikora 4751m, Indonesia, 4. Mandala 4701m, Indonesia.

To go to BAHA, you need to first goto Jeli or Dabong at Kelantan, from there you can ask the locals how to get to BAHA....

We camped at BAHA for 2 nights and did a day trip up to Gunung Stong, I think it tools 4 hours to reach the summit. Nothing particularly nice up there, however like all mountains in Malaysia, vegetation is abundant and interesting. If you are lucky you could see hornbills flying above you ...
